ADRIANA STEPIEN is a Polish-American soprano and current first-year master’s student at The Juilliard School, where she also completed her undergraduate studies under the tutelage of Amy Burton. This season, she will be singing Elissa in Melinda Wagner’s Dido Reimagined and covering Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff with Juilliard Opera.

In her 24/25 season, she was named a Maryland District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and was an Encouragement Award recipient from the Gerda Lissner Foundation Lieder/Song Competition. Additionally, she was a Studio Artist at Music Academy of the West and performed scenes from Verdi’s Rigoletto as Gilda, Puccini’s La Rondine as Magda, and Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin as Tatiana.

In the 23/24 season, she performed Mademoiselle Silberklang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Maria in I due timidi by Nino Rota, and covered Flerida in Cavalli’s Erismena with Juilliard Opera. Ms. Stepien performed alongside selected soloists in the Liederabend CCXIX : Dona nobis pacem curated by Javier Arrebola and was honored to be selected as a young artist at the Chautauqua Institution making her role debut as Morgana in Handel’s Alcina. Ms. Stepien also attended Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy and concluded her season as the Soprano Soloist in Happily Ever After with New York Festival of Song and Artistic Director Steve Blier.

In her 22/23 season, Ms. Stepien performed Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Prima Cameriera in Menotti’s Amelia al ballo with Juilliard Opera. She was also named a Third Place winner of the Opera Grand Rapids Vanderlaan Prize. That summer, she attended Classic Lyric Arts Italy and performed scenes from Verdi’s Rigoletto as Gilda.
